چکیده
Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a common autoimmune disease in which combination of risk alleles from different susceptibility genes predisposes the patients to develop clinical symptoms following exposure environmental factors. RA chronic and progressive characterized by synovial inflammation that results destruction affected joints severe problems individual’s mobility. Several immune-related factors have been associated with RA, these include single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) cytokine genes. The impact gene due their association either elevated serum levels and/or variations are disease-onset progression. objective this study was investigate role Interleukin-6 (IL6), Interleukin-13 (IL13) Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) genetic Kuwaiti patients. Methods: We determined genotypes IL6 (-174G/C; rs1800795), IL13 (R130Q; rs20541) TNF-alpha (-308A/G' rs1800629) 192 compared it 104 healthy controls. diagnosis based on American College Rheumatology (ACR) classification criteria. for IL6, were polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) methods confirmed DNA sequencing. Results: frequency rs1800795) manifested statistically significant difference between controls (P = 0.02 0.002 respectively). In contrast, did not show Conclusions: Our data showed an two (i.e. -174G/C; rs1800795 polymorphism, -308A/G, rs1800629 polymorphism) highlighting contribution possibly along other

متن کاملLack of Association between Interleukin-10 Gene Promoter Polymorphisms with HIV Susceptibility and Progression to AIDS
Background & Objective: Interleukin (IL)-10 is an important anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory cytokine. Some authors believe that single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) in the promoter region of the IL-10 gene have been associated with susceptibility to HIV infection and progression to AIDS, but its role is not clearly defined yet. The present study was undertaken to evaluate the a...

Tumor Necrosis Factor-α and Interleukin-1- β Polymorphisms in Pre-Eclampsia
Background: Pre-eclampsia is the most common critical condition during pregnancy. Plasma concentrations of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and interleukin-1-beta (IL-1β) increase in pregnant women with pre-eclampsia, compared to normal pregnant women. Objective: To investigate the polymorphisms of IL-1β (C+3954T), TNF-α (G- 308A), and (G-238A) in preeclemptic women northeastern Iran. Me...
متن کاملInterleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-alpha gene polymorphisms in chronic idiopathic urticaria.
BACKGROUND This study was performed to evaluate association of gene polymorphisms among proinflammatory cytokines and susceptibility to chronic idiopathic urticaria (CIU). METHODS Ninety patients with prolonged urticaria more than 6 weeks were included as case group. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of IL-6 (G/C -174, G/A nt565) and TNF-α (G/A -308, G/A -238) were evaluated, using polym...
